Choice and Control Working Group
This group was formally the Direct Payments group and has the following aims for working with the Local Authority around Indivdiual Budgets, Direct Payments and the Personalisation Agenda
Aims
- To make sure there is sufficient advice on Individual budgets and Direct Payments for service user from Social Care
- To work in partnership with adult social care as providors of Direct Payments in particular to feed back issues and concerns
- To have input into any processes set up to monitor the Personalisation agenda
C-LINk Working Group
This group is for the Chinese community in South Gloucestershire to have a voice in the LINk and its aims are
Aims
- To raise awareness of the Chinese Communities Health and Adult Social Care needs
- To influence and enhance the quality of Health and Adult Social Care Services
- To improve access to Health and Adult Social Care information for the Chinese Community
- To bridge the gap between the service providors and the Chinese community in South Gloucestershire
Communications Group
Aims
- To enhance the LINk reputation through raising awareness of its work and the benefits it brings to South Gloucestershire.
- To improve participants perception of how the LINk can assist in making changes to Health and Adult Social Care
- To enhance communication with the NHS Trusts, Local Authority and other partners and stakeholders
- To use communication platforms and the media to ensure everyone in South Gloucestershire knows about the LINk
Governance Group
This groups is working to ensure that the LINk has all the necessary goveranance arrangements in place and is compliant with them
Engagement and Involvement Group
Aims
- To reach out to community and voluntary health and social care providers
- Provide flexibility and choice in community engagement activities
- Strengthen, develop and sustain opportunities for local people and community and voluntary groups to influence their health and social care
- Provide opportunities for participation from all sections of the community, particularly people and groups that are seldom seen or involved in community engagement activities
- Listen to communities and ensure feedback to participants about the outcomes of consultation and engagement
Health Services WorkingGroup
This group is focusing on Health services including community and hospital based.
Aims
- To focus on highlighting equality of access to services for all equalities groups and communities, and to ensure that health services operate in a culturally aware and appopriate manner
- To ensure health services meet the specific needs of people with complex health conditions when they are being treated
- To highlight the need for better access to chiropody services
Mental Health Services Group
The Mental Health Services Group is focusing in the provision of all mental health services; this could include counselling, psychotherapy, behaviour change courses, in-patient mental health care, GP services or the community mental health team

Social Care Group
The Social Care group is concerned with Adult Social Care Services and is the key group in the LINK for developing productive relationships with Adult Social Care Commissioners and Providors
